ESSAY MEME TIEM
Jumping on the bandwagon. It's an essay memeeeeeeeeeee! Go ahead and ask me whatever. Relationship meme? Sure! Essay questions? Go for it. Want to inquire about why I play a character like I do or what I think of _____? I'll answer it. Whatever you want, really. Although it's not technically an "essay", I'll do hot or nots as well, and will even go into details rather than just a number or yes or no for once.

Once again, I play Nakatsu, Mika, Tsuna, Johji, Ohno, and Nana. And PS, ask as many as you want. I may be slow, depedning.

Relationships!

Mika and Chizu-nee, and Tenth and Dera.

I'm also going to be annoying and ask about Tenth's thoughts on Dera's habit of getting half-killed every so often if that isn't covered under the relationship bit |D

Mika and Chizu-nee:
This one completely blind-sided me, as I've said before. He started out hating her guts. As in, he REALLY hated her. How dare she hit him, how dare she act as though she know him, how dare she judge something she knows nothing about, etc etc etc. It's no secret that Mika isn't particularly fond of humans, especially not women. Somehow though, he found himself not hating her anymore. And then he was slowly starting to talk to her, and coming around on his own, and being topped by her. Chizu-nee is patient and that probably has a lot to do with it, not to mention she knows how to handle kids, and I won't deny that Mika is really childish. So while he's not sure she totally understands him, he does enjoy being around her even though he won't admit it. It's fun with her around, and she listens, and she makes him sandwiches, and she lets him spaz and she lets him nap on her. She allows him a lot and he returns the favor. There are a lot of things he lets her say and do that he wouldn't allow anyone else. He's aware there are things about him she wouldn't approve of, and he avoids conflict by not bringing up those aspects of himself. He doesn't need to bring them up in her company, so why do it? It would only cause problems. He's not ashamed, and he's not hiding, it's simply not necessary for her to know everything. If she asked, he'd tell her. Not that he'd admit it, and not that he's 100% aware of it, but he is attracted to her. Which is odd because camp has pretty much forced him to label himself as gay, sinc he's never been attracted to women, but somehow, he's attracted to her. Although Mika has a hard time classifying her as just another woman; she's different and as much as he refers to her as "woman", that's not all he sees her as. Actually it kind of serves as a reminder for him that she is female. He tends to just see her as Chizu-nee, not a woman or human or anything like that. Chizu-nee is simply Chizu-nee to him. Also of note, Mika's attaction to women is different than his attraction to men. He gets something different out of his fledgling attraction to her than he does from his attraction to men and such; but at the same time it's still an attraction and similar in a lot of ways. It's not as sexual, but theres still a necessary physical attachment necessary. But she's terrifying, so he doesn't drape on her as much as he would, say, Devit :( But you get him to nap on you and that's trust right there, so take it.

Tsuna and Dera:
Tsuna loev Dera, really. Tsuna's at the point now where, even though it's weird and not normal and all that, he's accepted that he has feelings for three people, two of which are men. He's been spending his time trying to figure out the dynamics of it all and his feelings exactly. As far as Dera is concerned.....Dera is a lot to handle. He's overwhelmingly attentive, but Tsuna has gotten used to that as a part of Dera. Thanks to the combined toppy efforts of Dera, Yama and Haru, he's not as bowled over anymore. It's still kind of wtf-y for him to have people who care about him that much and to such extremes. It's even harder for him to grasp that three people could love him/be attracted to him. But he's gotten to the place where he has some more confidence in himself and likes himself. Dera is a lot, but in a good way. It's nice to worry about people and be worried about by people. Although....sometimes he has to worry ALOT. And that's where Dera's dumbassery comes in. Tsuna....would like for Dera to stop getting himself needlessly hurt all the time, but he knows that Dera is just that confrontational and all, and that even if he asked him to, Dera would still wind up in a fight. And then Dera would just feel bad for breaking a promise to Tenth. He doesn't want to make Dera feel guilty for being himself, or feel bad over breaking a promise. Tsuna just wishes that he would place a little value in his own life and see how it hurts him when Dera gets injured. As long as the injuries are minor and Dera is able to recovery fully and live without regret....he can steel himself up too. Just because Tsuna accepts it as a part of Dera doesn't mean he'll just let it slide though. He'll still be tryin gto make Dera realize how important his safety is too, not just Tsuna's. So basically, Dera is intense and Tsuna wouldn't have it any other way. Gokudera is Gokudera and you either love him or hate him. Also Tsuna is vaguely sorta maybe kind of curious about making out sob.

Any questions? Lol, I'm braindead and probably forgot to touch on stuff.

Since I marathoned the canon a couple of weeks ago, what are Nana's thoughts on just ... being in camp in general and not being able to go home and do what she's got to do? And about only Hachi being in camp with her? (and since I am randomly curious, are you taking her from a certain point in canon? :D)

Nana.....was definitely irritated at first. She's busy back home trying to pursue all her goals, and then some director just decides to hijack her and dump her off here? Hell no! But then, she met some cool people (other artists and such), and found out there's a recording studio (so she can keep working), and got her band a new promoter (she was impressed by K-san, so she agreed to let NG promote the Black Stones). So for a while, she was okay being here. Especially after someone told her that when she got home, no time will have passed. She was thankful that she wouldn't be getting behind, but she was also starting to miss Hachi, who showed up within a month. Of course she misses Yasu and everyone, but with Hachiko here, her homesickness isn't so bad. However, now that months have passed....she's starting to get irritated again and is ready to go home. Break out attempts may ensue.

As for which point in canon, I'm taking her from about volume 8. Before Hachi's pregnancy. I'm messing with the timeline a little and saying they're already signed though. Since the two events are right next to each other.

Tsuna and Sharon:
Tsuna really likes Sharon. She's polite, and sweet, and kind of mom-ish. He can have a nice conversation with her and have it involve minimal spazzing. She seems like a nice person to him, and she behaves like a normal person, so he couldn't really ask for more. He can relax and just chat for once. Although admittedly he's a little worried about how bringing Gokudera and everyone for tea and the gingerbread house will play out. He prays it doesn't end in flames, sob.

Mika and Hakuren:
Devit likes Hakuren, which made Mika a little curious about Hakuren (considering Devit doesn't really like many people, and the people he does like are usually interesting in some way or another). Hakuren has a goal and motivations and he's moving towards that goal, giving it his all. Mika can respect that. He doesn't pity Hakuren, because Mika doesn't do pity. It's a sad situation, but Mika has his own issues and complexes. He thinks the best thing for Hakuren would be to separate the Oak name from his definition of who he is, but it's none of his business. He's doesn't dislike Hakuren, but he doesn't consider him a friend at this point in time, but he's interested in talking to him more.

George and Hakuren:
George is amused. Hakuren is fun to tease, and George lives for reactions. He kissed him because Shigure suggested it, and it sounded like a hilarious idea at the time. George could have been normal and insightful and intelligent through out the whole coversion, but he generally opts to not. George likes being hard to read. Because George has been here a while and is starting to get bored, he's seeking out fun more, so he'll probably hunt Hakuren again to tease~ Or maybe have an intelligent conversation with, but we'll see.

Do me Johji~!

By that I mean Kakeru. Also if you feel up to it, your thoughts on the Johji/Yuki/Kakeru triangle.

[info]littlestsoldier
2008-07-23 01:16 am UTC (link)
Johji gets why he puts Kakeru off. He just likes pretending he doesn't get things sometimes. He knows he's a lot like Shigure and that he is more than a little obvious when he's messing with people and that those sorts of things put people off; people don't like being made a game. But Johji likes to confuse people, and its almost like he tries to make it so people don't understand him. The only people who really get him are Isabella and Yuki. Radu and Shigure to a degree too. Johji isn't normal, he doesn't react normally, he's twisted. His childhood was fucked up and his mother basically made him the way he is and he has a hard time sympathizing with Kakeru's family situation because compared to his, that isn't that bad at all. So when Kakeru told him about all that, it irritated him a little. He also is aware that his closeness to Yuki is a problem for Kakeru. He's not about to stop hanging around Yuki since Yuki is important to George. Anyways, Kakeru is entertaining, and he doesn't seem like a bad kid. He seems a little normal, in Johji's opinion. Johji doesn't know Kakeru that well, so he's not quite sure what he thinks of him yet. He needs to talk to him alone more, with Yuki issues there. But so far....he's entertained, which is a good start. And Johji would like for them to be friends.

Oh god, I could be here all day XDDDD
Too much to choose from, ummmm, let's go with Mika.

Mika Headcanon-y:
Bal's betrayal is why he dislikes women more than men
Mika's love affair with sandwiches has been around since he was but a wee angel
Khamael was a fan of Michael's when Khamael was younger and then he met the real thing, lol (and he still respects him)
Mika lets his patrol/men/subordinates stay at his place and Mika's castle fort thing is always full of intimidating looking people being intimidating
Mika is a huge weapons collector and has a room dedicated to weapons in his fort thing (including demonic and human ones)
Mika loev dragons, totally his favorite animals, he thinks they're amazing creatures and has a sort of respect for them.

These are a few factoids in my head, may add more later. Anything else?

What does Mika think when Rabi doesn't sleep in the cabin? Like say for example right now when he is abandoning you to paint Ohnoes' toenails.

Mika doesn't mind too much when Rabi goes out to sleep every once in a while. He knows Rabi doesn't like being stuck in one place too much, so Mika gives him that much. He knows Rabi will come back, so it's not too big of an ordeal for him. Yes, he prefers Rabi being in the shack because Mika is possessive of his important people, but he understands. Mika wouldn't be able to cope with Rabi living the shack completely though. It would be a burn to him. The only one Mika doesn't really like sleeping outside of the cabin is Raph and we all know why that is (boyfriend is a whore and goes to stay at Rue's and such :\). But since Raph and Mika have a deal, and Raph's end of the bargain was to stay in the shack at night and not go sleeping over at other people's, Mika has been staying in Raph's bed more often. So atleast Mika has a body, but while he'd prefer Rabi to stay home, he knows Rabi will come back and that he has to give Rabi his freedom to move around.

Tsuna and Yama |D and what Tsuna thinks of Yama as he starts to focus more on swords than bats.

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]littlestsoldier

Tsuna loev Yama just as Tsuna loev Dera and Haru, but while it's the same sort of love, the reasons why he loves Yamamoto, the things that make him precious to him are both the same and different. Yamamoto is just such an honest, all out guy. It's amazing to Tsuna that someone can be so honest and open and upfront about everything they think and want and feel. Yamamoto is simple, but in this amazing sort of way that wouldn't really work the same if it were anyone else. Being around Yamamoto never fails to make Tsuna smile and be happy and embarrassed and shocked and....everything, all at the same time. Yamamoto keeps Tsuna from getting too serious or too worried or too down. He serves as a sort of energy boost for him and he can't get enough. But you are kind of stupid dear :\ Tsuna realizes Yamamoto is really giving it, and them, his all. He has noticed Yamamoto shifting his focus from baseball towards being a stronger, better swordsman. And while he feels a little guilty, as though Yamamoto doing this might be Tsuna's fault....he also realizes Yamamoto isn't the type to do that. He does everything in earnest. So Tsuna couldn't really be happier that Yamamoto has made this family his priority and that he's accepted his future in this way. He's proud of him and can't wait to see how far he can go and how strong he can get, because Yamamoto never fails to amaze him whether its in his attitude or his swordplay or just in the way he can make Tsuna say he loves him and mean it so completely.

Ohno's feelings on Saki being in camp!

Ohno is very happy that Saki is here! She thinks it'll be a good experience for Saki and that it'll be good for Kousaka too. Plus Ohno sort of was missing her a little, so.... Ohno is very aware of all the bitching that is going to occur in this otaku paradise, and she's very aware that Saki is going to hate this place, but in the long run, she thinks Saki might come to like it a little. Plus Ohno is seeing PROGRESS!!!11!!1 already. But for the most part, Ohno just missed having Saki around :| Selfish reasons. H-hopefully though Saki will show some sort of restraint (Ohno does not honestly expect to see any). In all honesty, Ohno is aware it'll be frustrating, embarrassing, angering, and ultimately....lively to have Saki here. And she wouldn't have it any other way.

Johji doesn't like being made to worry. Similar to how he doesn't keep lovers, he's not really used to keeping or caring about friends (other than Isabella). So the fact that Radu's death affected him really got to Johji. He was a little scared and a little hurt and was affected by it and he didn't like that. That's not to say he doesn't want to care about Radu, but he doesn't want to get hurt. Johji is actually really kind of a delicate guy. As for the information he was given, that similarly affected him. Johji likes enjoying people and having it be casual and stuff, but he really is finding he cares for Radu as a friend a lot.
